This app is intended for reading. The main screen always shows the book you are reading and will return to this page if you leave the app and then return.

The figure in the upper right shows the main screen, in this example, the first page on the KJV Bible. There are icons showing at the top line and at the bottom line. In addition a line under the top line shows the progress in your reading. Tapping the screen near the center will take both lines and icons away.

Tapping again will bring them back. On an iPad, by default, if you want to read the book you can tap at the right edge to move forward a page or near the left edge to display the previous page. You can also just swipe the screen on the left or right side to change the page. Swiping may be preferred if there are links near the edge since you can accidentally bring up a link when you really want to change the page. You can change a setting to make the pages scroll if you prefer.

This is the default which can be changed to work like the iPad and the iPad can be changed to scroll. When you have the two banners showing you can tap the icons in the bottom edge to bring up different feature screens in the app. The items are listed from right to left in instructions below. The icon on the right edge brings up a menu, that is a scrollable list of commands you can perform. For example: you can bring up the menu and scroll to find the "settings" and then tap to bring up the "settings" screen.

Here you can add your sign-on name or pick your preferred Bible translation. You can tap "done" to take that screen away. More information on the Menu is below. The other icons work similarly. See More on Search below. The stack of books will show you the number of books you have open. Tapping it will allow you to select a different book to view. See More on Active eBooks. The next icon to the left will bring up the "library" showing all the books you already own. Tapping a book will open it in the active screen. See below for more on the Library. In each case there is a "done" icon in the upper corner of the screen that can return you to the book you are reading. The top banner is showing you information about the book that you have open. It shows you the name of the book you are reading and just to the left is an icon that will bring up the TOC for the book allowing you to change places in the book if you wish.

To the left of the TOC is a type-in field that can search and go to places in the book. It will also show you the page number you are on. This is very useful if you click on a link in the book itself that jumps to another part of the book. Underneath these icon is a line that shows you how far along you are in the book you are reading.

At the far right is a menu 3 vertical dots that allows you to work with the book and display. You can view a brief intro, search for words, change settings such as font size, and other items. You can even change to a different book. See More on Active eBooks below. Tapping this brings up a screen containing 4 items: featured items, the special store items, the dashboard, and the explore choice. These items have an arrow just to the left of each one. It can be used to turn the display of that item on or off.

The gear icon in the upper left lets you edit these items and of course the "done" will go back to the book. You can also use the toc and search field at the top to find a location in your default Bible and go there. The Featured items and store items will display deals and items that you might be interested in if you have an Internet connection. The dashboard shows some choices of things you might want to study just by tapping the item. This area can be edited to allow you to define a set of books you want for a particular study.

The Explore option can bring things to your attention that you may want to look over. Tapping the Library icon produces a list of eBooks that you own. It has three modes at the top center. The middle one shows your library. They can be displayed as a text list or shown as book covers using the selection choice in the upper left corner. The upper right corner has the "done" button to return to your eBook. Just below that line is a library count that shows how many books you have, or if you use the filter, searching it will show how many hits you have.

On the right edge you have a choice of how to sort the list. This can be done by title, by ratings, or by Recent. Note that there are times when the program changes this sort order. Besides book mode there are Reading and Store modes. Store mode provides another way to look at the "book store". Reading mode show books you have specifically identified to read.
